I have started to use the "hide ads" function of My BPL, but am finding that I have to reset it each time I log on. Is there any way to make the setting permanent, or is the logon reset a software limitation?

Should not be happening unless you're clearing your cache each time you close your browser, then yes, you'd have to reset it. That wouldn't be a software limitation, just a choice, FAIAP.

But don't confuse the ads you might see when you choose "Recent Threads." They appear regardless of whether or not you have Hide Ads chosen. FWIW.

Edit: Hmmmmm. Seems like they fixed the issue with ads showing up on the Recent Threads page, so you shouldn't see ads at all, and you shouldn't have to reset it unless, as I said above, you've got your browser set to delete cookies and such when you close it.

Since you mentioned "each time I log on", it sounds like your are checking the box below your id/password to "remember" you each time you access the site. If I'm right, easy fix.

No, the box is not checked. But thanks for helping me eliminate one possibility.

I'll have to check the browser settings. Hadn't thought of that. Thanks, Doug.

Oops – I meant to say "aren't", not "are".

    I'll give it a try.

    Thanks, Todd.
