Hahaha! My 3rd voyage out on my Yak and I land an interview!

Full trip report coming. Nutshell: Cherry Blossom Festival 2014 Washington DC. Everyone stuck in traffic trying to get to the Tidal Basin. Well, not "everyone"…;) As soon as I pull up on bank News Channel 9 is right there doing a story on traffic congestion & getting to the area. Needless to say the packraft presented a favorable option to the gridlock.
ALL HAIL THE POWER OF THE PACKRAFT!
awesome! Good job promoting packrafting. I like how after your interview, she ends with "What you didn't see, it packs down and he carries it in his backpack, and it weighs 5 only pounds."
I know, right? I really have to hand it to the reporter Nikki Burdine from WUSA9; she was really nice and had such a great attitude. She was really interested in how it packed, the weight etc. It was so cool to see the "first reaction" of folks understanding the capabilities of packrafting – not for my ego in the limelight but just to show the amazing potential for certain tools/resources. Of course the gridlock setting framed the potential of packrafting in a way that was undeniable; there was almost no other way to practically reach the DC Tidal Basin at that time.
