Does anyone know of any fabric clips, I'm thinking something that attaches to grossgrain/webbing/cord on one side, and grips kind of like a bulldog clip or similar on the other. Use is for gripping a fabric edge or webbing from the side, etc.
I've looked in "hardware" sections of a few sites but haven't come up with anything yet.
Cheers!

Is this what you are looking for…

…or is this closer to what you need?

Mar 31, 2014 at 5:29 am #2087980Hi Newton
thanks for the quick reply
Definitely not the first, more like the latter. Though I'm looking for something that can work a bit more one handed if possible (its for a baby product I'm DIYing for my wife and I…really need to be able to attach it one handed if possible while struggling with an infant). Absolute raw strength isn't too much an issue, just a few lbs. A little plastic mitten hook would just about do it but it doesn't open wide enough (at least reliably).
Cheers!

How about something like this.
Hooks similar to this can be had without the spring latch also.
Since it involves your young one I'm assuming you would want the latching type. ;-)

The price is $0.05 each but the minimum order is 100 pieces. $5.00 investment with a ton of leftovers. ;-?
It doesn't say on their website but I believe the attachment for the webbing is 3/4" in size and would accept a doubled over grosgrain thickness webbing. I'm basing this on a lanyard that I have on hand.

Apr 3, 2014 at 8:54 pm #2089452You might consider 'kitty clips,' used to make cat collars. They are a very small side pressure opening connector that looks like a buckle and connects, but does not cinch like a buckle, available on a lot of sites. But each end of the clip must be sewn to the fabric, tape or webbing. If you want the ones with the jaws that clinch onto the hem of the fabric, you might try the notions section of Joanne Fabrics or other sewing outlets. But these types of clips tend to abrade and eventually tear the fabric hem.
If you have round or D rings to clip onto, you might look at the NiteIze S-biners that come in a number of small sizes: http://www.niteize.com/collection/S-Biner.asp
