I borrowed an ATV and it was nice and all but big, clumsy and not good for small trails and slopes.
I found this small gem, just right for little me. Back in Europe as a teenager I used to ride a 125 Aprilia, enduro, two stroke.
This is a 1998 Honda XR 80 and it was a steal. Not fast, but I don't care; small enough that I can straddle it, flat foot it and then some. Climbs like a little champ, kinda like me :)
Not a biker chick….just using it to check out the over 100 miles of trails that I have access to. And to check my cameras….
I still use my mountain bike, but for a quick check up the hills this is perfect. I just came back from an 8 mile round trip, all after I came home from work. Had the most beautiful ocean views :)
Over the years there have been some cougar attacks on mountain bikers on So Calif. The fast movement seems to kick in the hunter instinct (IMO) of the lion. So be careful. The Honda is probably better.
