I borrowed an ATV and it was nice and all but big, clumsy and not good for small trails and slopes.
I found this small gem, just right for little me. Back in Europe as a teenager I used to ride a 125 Aprilia, enduro, two stroke.
This is a 1998 Honda XR 80 and it was a steal. Not fast, but I don't care; small enough that I can straddle it, flat foot it and then some. Climbs like a little champ, kinda like me :)
…
Better watch out, you lions, now she's a biker chick!
:)
It's not very heavy….but not UL.
Not a biker chick….just using it to check out the over 100 miles of trails that I have access to. And to check my cameras….
I still use my mountain bike, but for a quick check up the hills this is perfect. I just came back from an 8 mile round trip, all after I came home from work. Had the most beautiful ocean views :)
Kat,
Over the years there have been some cougar attacks on mountain bikers on So Calif. The fast movement seems to kick in the hunter instinct (IMO) of the lion. So be careful. The Honda is probably better.
And put those big eyes on the back of your helmet!

Same thing with trail running. We must look like food when we move fast.
Edit: Cool toy Kathrina.

I did feel quite safe this afternoon on my Honda and I had a great time exploring.
No new mountain lion pictures, but some fox and bobcat ones.
Oh, this weird kat too.
