Got my new Spitfire and put it on the scale (haven’t used it yet).

    Body+fly+poles+sack = 2 lb 14.2 oz

Included stakes are pretty good for OEM in a $65 tent: strong and lengthy. But .6 oz each (10 included).

I think 6 stakes minimum are required (maybe 2 extra to tie out the fly, but I’m not sure those are required). Using 6″ titanium takes at .25oz each, would yield a total weight just under 3 pounds.

Good. Thanks for sharing. Glad the wt. came out under 3lbs. Let us know how you like it & how much condensation you experience after a night or two in it – both dry & wet nights if possible.

My daughter used this tent on a recent “Wilderness Studies” course in the Cascades in WA.

She wasn’t too verbose when I asked her how it performed. “Ok” was about all I got out of her. It didn’t rain.

I had lots of moisture problems with my Six Moon Designs Europa during my simultaneous 7 night trip in the Sierra (rained there almost every day; go figure). So I’m going to try the Eureka on my next solo trip and I’ll report then on how it works.
