Hello! I decided that maybe I just have one thread for new O'Mails, and that way I'm not clogging up the Forum with a ton of threads about these blog posts.
So here's the new one; I'll post here again when the next one comes out!
Nov 13, 2013 at 12:41 pm #2044147"Someone with clothes so dirty they'll make a commercial washing machine stop working like the French in August."
Zing!
Nov 14, 2013 at 4:16 pm #2044632Haha! Yeah, I kind of like that one myself.
Dec 28, 2013 at 11:07 am #2058257Here's the newest O'Mails post. Hope you enjoy it!
Dec 29, 2013 at 6:52 pm #2058657I assume it was a carbon fiber eating helmet?
Another great post and arguably the best trip report of the day.
Dec 31, 2013 at 11:42 am #2059088Hahahaha! You know, the eating helmet part was a last minute off-the-cuff addition, and I've got more comments about that than any other part of the article!
Glad you enjoyed the trip report!
Dec 31, 2013 at 2:30 pm #2059155Jan 5, 2014 at 7:03 pm #2060715Hello & Happy New Year!
Here's the newest O'Mails entry:

Feb 15, 2014 at 11:24 am #2073827Forgot to post this here yesterday, so make that a Belated Happy Valentine's Day!
Not a full entry, just the card I made for my girlfriend, who is currently on the Florida Trail.Feb 24, 2014 at 1:20 pm #2076616Here's the newest entry, with a bit of humor and a whole bunch of deliciousness:

Apr 7, 2014 at 1:34 pm #2090683New one of these things!
Things Hikers Sometimes Do, Chapter Three: Sleeping In Bathrooms
Jan 21, 2015 at 12:03 pm #2166693Hello all! After a long break, I'm restarting the OMails blog. Here's the newest — hope you like it!
Jan 23, 2015 at 5:01 am #2167271Great stuff Shane! Keep them coming!
I never realized how furniture illiterate I was until I read this.
Jan 23, 2015 at 8:04 am #2167316'cuse me while I wipe the sprayed soda off my keyboard. Ya really oughta start these blog posts off with a warning to new readers!
Very enjoyable! Such great new opportunities for UL cottage gear makers, or do you think Lazyboy would make me a recliner with a CF frame, balloons for padding in the cushions and hybrid wool/cuben fiber upholstery fabric?
Jan 25, 2015 at 11:28 am #2167930Jim — I am apparently the leading cause of damaged keyboards among hikers. Glad you liked it!
Ian — the amount of time I spent researching furniture for this article is fairly ridiculous. But worth it!
Jan 27, 2015 at 9:56 pm #2168854Shane- Your latest blog post gave me a badly-needed laugh over the weekend when I saw the link you posted on the PCT Facebook Group page. After scrolling through some of the…other things that were going on there on Saturday night, I needed something upbeat (and also an excuse to go back through the blog and dig up the masterpiece that is the "car door" post.)
Jan 29, 2015 at 8:03 am #2169340Glad I could help, John!
More on the way soon . . .Feb 1, 2015 at 9:19 am #2170243Here's the latest blog article!
Feb 1, 2015 at 5:30 pm #2170327"Nutella is a food group have done it"
now are you implying that it isn't? Next you're going to say that Poptarts aren't a well rounded trail breakfast… :P
Feb 11, 2015 at 10:58 am #2173456New blog post!
Mar 8, 2015 at 6:24 pm #2180979Back to the AT for this one!
Mar 17, 2015 at 11:31 am #2183459Hello!
Two entries here, the first is a (hopefully somewhat funny) recipe for Trail Magic. The second is a graphic I made after packing for my hike while watching a Batman movie.
Trail Magic Recipes For Home: Jack's Apple Cake
Perhaps this is a woman you don't fully understand either . . .
