Even with the high temps, even where I live in N Kalifornia, been thinking some of snow camping already and hoping for deeper snow. The last few winters have been pretty poor when it comes to setting up a shelter in little snow. I like to level off a spot, pack it down and set up. Kinda hard to do with brush, debris poking out of the snow. A couple trips this last winter, did not need my 'shoes as I only had to carry them if needed.

As a skiier and patroller I'm hoping like hell you guys are right. THINK SNOW!

I have new gear that is crying for winter testing conditions.

We're due. Two great seasons followed by two poor seasons. I think we're due for at least an "average" season at this point! After spending 2 weeks in the Sierra recently, I yearn for descents on my Splitboard rather then my feet!

That sounds like EVERY winter here. But yeah, we're in need of many good cold winters here as well.
