Anyone know if I can repair my bike? I have a vintage Kestrel bike and the bottom bracket has broken free of the carbon fiber frame housing. Hoping there is some crossover knowledge about bikes and carbon fiber tent poles etc.

Looks like this from the park tool page.

Hopefully you've found a fix by now, but if not there are a couple of companies that can pull off some pretty miraculous repairs to carbon frames. The guy most people use around my neck of the woods is Broken Carbon: http://www.brokencarbon.com/homepage/

Not so creative with naming, but pretty good at repairs. There are quite a few other companies around the country, so let you fingers do the walking and you might find someone closer to you. Good luck!
