Jul 13, 2013 at 8:23 am #2005495Thanks, some interesting stuff. Would love to hear comments from packrafters about Klymit's packraft.
But Five Fingers with heels? Really!? Cracked me up.

ThanksI think the high heel VFF are only promotion prototypes
Jul 15, 2013 at 11:06 am #2006284That's a nice looking tent but $2000 in Cuben?
Jul 15, 2013 at 11:55 am #2006299Does that include shipping?
Jul 15, 2013 at 11:59 am #2006302Dunno. My google-fu sucks but I don't believe they are advertising it on their website yet.
I'm quoting the price from here:
Jul 15, 2013 at 12:05 pm #2006308I was just kidding. I was going to say, "I wonder if it comes with a free footprint."
It strikes me as very strange that mainstream gear companies (including Sierra Designs) can come out with $2000 cuben tents but MLD and Zpacks offer cuben shelters at a fraction of that price.
Jul 15, 2013 at 12:12 pm #2006312I had a sense that you were kidding but I was preemptively playing my 'get out of jail free' card in case the actual price will be less than 2k when it's released this fall.

Conversely, I'm surprised that none of the cottage industry folks aren't selling a free standing single wall shelter like this. Seems like there'd be a healthy market for it.
Jul 15, 2013 at 2:43 pm #2006363On Day 4, you've got a photo from Eureka of four packs hanging on a white wall. The one on the left looks like an Ion with added pockets (unless the black material at the bottom is just a single layer of different fabric). The looks like a cool little daypack if so.
The other packs look very similar to GoLite Jams with added features. Does Eureka own GoLite? Or is that a GoLite display?
Jul 16, 2013 at 4:59 am #2006577Yeah you are right. The packs look like the Golite range und even the Eureka WikiUL looks like the SL3. I only know that the german distributor from golite works now for eureka
Jul 16, 2013 at 5:29 pm #2006865The Eureka/Golite thing was discussed in thread 76716 (just enter that number in the search box)
