White Peak Fire is about 3 Miles South of Philmont

"The Whites Peak Fire is located about 3 miles south of Philmont’s southern property line. It is approximately 850 acres in size. Fire crews have been on the ground, and air support is also engaged. There are no fires on Philmont property, or on areas used by Philmont.

Philmont has moved participants and staff in the southern part of our property to other program areas as a precautionary measure. Crews will have their itineraries modified, allowing them to continue hiking and programs in other parts of the Ranch.

Philmont is continuing to monitor the fire and smoke, and is working with local firefighting authorities to provide support where needed. For more information about the fire:"
