I need some advice for lures to carry for my spinning set up. This is along the Ozark Highland Trail in Arkansas and trout are not expected. The lure set needs to be minimal and for everything from smallmouth in the rivers and larger creeks to panfish in the smaller perennial creeks. From what I have read there is not much in these smaller creeks but Iām not looking to supplement my food but practice the craft. Of course I will take advantage of some natural bait I find. Please give me your recommended minimal lure set and by minimal I would say 10 and I can narrow down more as I learn.
Thanks, Jeff
I've caught smallmouth bass, various sunfish, and trout in the Ozarks and Ouachitas using ultralight spinning gear. Mister Twister plastic bodies threaded on a weighted hook are what I've had consistent luck with, but H&H or Mepps spinners work, and I've used a tiny torpedo as a topwater lure. I lost a lot of lures on 4 lb test line so always use 6 lb test now. The Mister Twister setup in blue/purple or root beer color gets the most use (and results).

so im pretty big into bass fishing up here in my neck of the woods. so i'm at a loss for what to take out of my enormously oversized tackle box. i also plan on using a small UL spinning outfit for everything from small trout to small and largemouth bass, white perch stuff like that. so i'm not sure what to pare out of my tackle box. also i use a lot of crankbaits, i woudln't have any idea how to store those other than to use the plano boxes they're already in.
any ideas?
