Hello I'll be visitng the Canadian Rockies this August. I have campsites booked in early August at Mount Robson Provincial Park and then Maligne Lake Skyline.
I'm trying to come up with some hiking around Banff National Park and Mt. Assiniboine Pronvincial for mid to late August. I have "Don't waste your time in the Rockies" Guide and the gemtrek Banff & Mt. Assiniboine map.
My thoughts are to park my car in Sunshine Village, somehow get to the Vista Lake Viewpoint Trail head and hike back to Sunshine Village.
From Sunshine Village hike to Mount Shark (through lake Magog area).
I'm just trying to figure out the logistics of this. Anyone here hike in this area before?
Some questions I hope someone can answer:
Is there a reliable shuttle from Sunshine Village to Vista Lake viewpoint?
Reliable shuttle from Mt. Shark back to Sunshine Village?
I'll leave food in my car but are there places to stock up in the area? The parking lot seems out of the way.
Finally is the only campground around Sunshine Village at Healy creek?
Answers to any of these questions would be great!
Thanks.
