Happy Earth Day, maybe like the professional jokester who takes April Fool's Day off we wilderness users don't really need to acknowledge today but I hope we do.
My daughter is telling me we've got to go down to the river to cut some blackberry vines for her walking sticks [insect type not our kind] so peace and happy earth day.
Yes, perhaps the world is finally waking up to the issues we face. I'm cautiously hopeful, though not yet optimistic.
I took a nice run through a Saguaro cactus forest today, slower than usual, so I could see the huge numbers of flower buds emerging from the cactus. They'll be in full bloom in a couple of weeks.
Happy Earth Day to all, human and otherwise………
