If anyone is interested there are a couple of Patagonia R1 Hoody's on ebay in size large. Just thought I'd pass it on, I'm not the seller.
RonApr 10, 2007 at 8:28 pm #1385525Thanks,
My bid is in!Apr 10, 2007 at 9:16 pm #1385526If you missed the 2 listings earlier, they were originally "Buy it nows" at $100 w/ a min. alt. bid of $50. Since both listings got bids, the "Buy it Now" has gone bye-bye and it now will be a far more entertaining bidding war. They probably will go close to $100 anyway. Have I placed a bid? Sniping program at the ready. :-)
update—if anyone thinks they will get them cheap, they are sadly mistaken.
bidding up proceeds w/ over 3 days to go. $100 plus easy.Apr 15, 2007 at 8:52 am #1386041update 2—And so they did, sniped at the end for $130 and over $150, respectively. Congrats discerning and deep pocketed wilderness enthuiasts. The rest of us will have to wait for Fall.
Apr 15, 2007 at 10:09 am #1386052I got outbid. Oh well, I will get one this fall.
Apr 16, 2007 at 8:00 pm #1386225I watched that climb and climb. My cutoff was $100. Are you guys thinking this will be out in the fall?
Rab has released the Phantom Jacket. Pretty sharp looking. The fabric is prolly not as breatheable as the R1 but definitely more wind resistant.
Apr 16, 2007 at 8:37 pm #1386235Patagonia sez it will bring the Hoody back in the Fall—they consider it a seasonal item. The Rab Phantom looks like a nice garment but it's 1/2 lb. heavier.
Apr 17, 2007 at 2:09 pm #1386301You might want to consider a Melanzana hoodie. Check out their Micro-Grid hoodie. I picked up one up last week and it comes in at 11.45 oz. Really warm. I did some cold weather (27 degree) fishing wearing a light weight NF long underwear, Polar Buff neck gater, the hoodie, and Montane Lightspeed Jacket and was very warm.
If I were to make one change it would be to use a smaller shock cord and cord lock. This change out could be easily done by the owner.

picky, picky, picky
