about to head out to joshua tree next week. thinking about bring just the duomid with no netting. Are there any concerns or dangerous creepy crawling things to watch for?
Nope, especially this time of year. Watch the temps depending on altitude. This time of year it can get well below freezing before taking into consideration the wind chill factor. If no precipitation just leave the tent in your pack. Night skies in JT can be among the best in the US.
If you find yourself in some unexpected rain or snow, you could always throw your ground sheet over you in an emergency. I have had to do that a couple of times.
