Leaving for a 4 day trip, driving 8 hours to get to trail head. Does anyone have input about trail and road conditons after SANDY storm? Also snow at elevation?
Plan on snow on anything not southern facing and high rivers. I was there last week and two feet was quickly found. Roads to upper trail heads were impassable and we had to deter or entry point to the lower valley. Course, lots can change in a week and it has been substantially warmer. At minimum, plan on raging rivers with the snow melt and likely some soggy hiking.
