I found a Necchi 522 sewing machine yesterday. From what I can gather it is 1960's vintage and this one shows little signs of use and LOTS of metal in the construction. Does anyone out there use one and have tips for using it with outdoor fabrics?
Learning to drive one of these things and make some basic outdoor gear is on my Winter to-do list.
I did find the Italian connection. Production went to Japan for a while, then Taiwan. This is Taiwan-built and not as well regarded as the original Italian machines. It's built like a tank.
