Dynafit Broad Peak poles for winter trekking?

Does anyone have experience with Dynafit's Broad Peak two section carbon fibre poles for winter trekking? I popped into my local outfitter at the weekend, interested in seeing Black Diamond's new flicklock setup. When I asked which was the lightest weight pole I was directed to the Dynafits. They're intended as a backcountry ski touring pole, but at 190g each they are a fair bit lighter than the BD carbon poles and cost about the same. My question is, how well do they work for winter hiking?

I've not used them myself, but I don't see why they wouldn't work just fine.

As much as I love pretty much all things Dynafit, if I were solely hiking with my poles, I would probably want a lower minimum end of the adjustment range.
During the winter, when I'm only skinning and skiing, I use some older poles with a narrower adjustment range.
However, in the spring and summer, when I have to hike on the dry approaches, I like poles that shorten down all the way to 95cm. The Dynafit Broad Peak goes down only to 115cm.
But of course personal preferences can vary widely for this. (And I'm 5'8".)
BTW, interesting that BD cf poles don't weigh any less than their alu poles. Quite a difference from xc cf ski poles vs alu.

Excellent point – the max height would be good for a DuoMid owner, but the min height wouldn't let me put my Trailstar into storm mode. Hmm, guess I'm still looking for the perfect pair of poles…
