    Hey folks,

I've had the luck to land a business trip out to Northern Washington in early June (going out to Everett). I decided to check out Olympic NP while I'm out there. Though I love the mountains, I figured June would be a better time to check out the rainforests. Does anybody have any suggestions on a rockin' 3-4 day loop? I usually manage 20 mi/day, for reference.

    Thanks!

    Locale: Oregon and Washington

Still a lot of snow in the mountains, maybe 5000 feet elevation? Difficult to find 20-30 mile per day, 3 day loops.

The Grand Valley gets a lot of trip reports then. And people always see bears. But it's an out and back and you can't do more than about 10 miles before running into snow.

The beach is pretty nice, but difficult to find loops. There's like 20 miles of wilderness beach between Ozette and Rialto Beach, and about the same between Third Beach and Oil City. No loops though. You have to time your trip to low tides. Details at http://www.portlandhikersfieldguide.org/wiki/Washington_Coast_Hikes. Walking along the beach is more difficult than regular hiking. The last time I was there, there were Bald Eagles following me as I walked along.
