Well you have not heard much about them most likely because this is a newer company and their whole line of tents was revamped this year.

I think the products look great and the prices seem great too. All their tents are pretty much the lightest in their class. Now as to whether the tent you referred to is a good choice for your sister husband will come down to how big of a guy he is. If he is over 6 feet tall I would say maybe look elsewhere. Also do not forget that this tent is a wee bit narrow (not as narrow as the MSR Hubba which is a popular tent) for some people liking.

Here is a short portion of a super list of tents I made up a while ago when I was searching. All the weights were taken from the manufactures website. The first weight given is for the packaged weigh, the second weigh if shown is for the minimum trail weight, and the third if shown is for the fast fly setup.
