I received this jacket for X-mas last year and have been pretty happy with it. It is very warm, made with 700 fill down, compress down to just smaller than a Nalgene and weighs 14.7oz in a medium. It is a little heavy compared to other lightweight conscious companies offerings. The jacket includes 2 handwarmer pockets and a napolean pocket and 2 internal pockets. The 2 handwarmer pockets are too far out to the sides and are not readily accesed. The bottom of these pockets hang slightly below the hem and your hands can feel the cold. I usually don't use these. The internal pockets are large enough to hold a Nalgene though I probably wouldn't since they would sag as well. If the jacket lost the 4 main pockets it would for sure be in the 10-11oz range and more competative in weight. The sewn thru baffeling works well to keep the down in place, the 30d nylon is very down proof and durable and the slim profile provided by the 700 fill is great. The shell could be replaced with a lighter denier nylon and also loose weight. I like the simplicity of the elastic cuffs and hem and the double zipper is great for venting out the lower torso and keeping the top zipped up. Overall I'm happy with it. Other lighter offerings ar a lot more expensive, not as robust or not as warm. It is a well designed compromise and still lightweight alternative to the other big brands.
