I have been using FF's instant beans for at least 10 years now. A box stretches out and makes a couple meals on the trail. For use in burritos, bean dips and soups/chowders they are great.
The taste of the beans is nice, the price is good and they are easy to find in most big grocery stores. FF does not add in any undesirable junk to their products either. The beans are easily prepared in a freezer bag, and need only hot water added, and to sit for 5-10 minutes. 1/3 cup of dry product is more than enough for one person, so a box will last a long time.
The only downside I have with the line is the sodium content. While not as high as most outdoorsy products are, it is still a bit high. If used in a recipe though it works out well.
