So I just found out that Steve Jobs has passed away. He was a visionary that brought amazing progression to the computer/ personal technology industry. Whether you liked him or not, you have to respect the contributions that both he and his company have made within their field.

Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts.

It's a sad day. We lost a big innovator.

Agree. I started using Macs in 1990, because that was all we had to use in my work training. RIP Steve Jobs.

Sitting here typing on my beloved iMac, I can only agree that Jobs was a great innovator. RIP!

First mac experience would have been when I was 6 on a Mac 128K (or perhaps a 512k). Throughout my school years was surrounded by Mac's as that's what was at all my schools. Hit college and remember a couple of generations of iMac's getting rolled out in the computer labs and the iPod rage.

Out of school worked at one of Apple's main suppliers – it was weird not to be the 700 lb gorilla in the room like was the case with every other buyer/supplier so we got a taste of our own medicine courtesy of Apple engineers who were excellent and incredibly demanding almost to the brink of impossible.

Go ahead to a few months ago got tired of the PC I've had for the last 5 years and got a Mac Mini – thankfully Mac's today are still what they have always been and hopefully always will be – simple and just plain work well.

We'll miss you Steve – cancer took you way too soon.

    Sad Mac
