Hey there,
I'm organizing a company trip that will have ~5-7 people of various skill levels (but generally pretty athletic), over a 3-day weekend, of October 15th. Last year 5 us did Young Lakes above Tuolomne, and three of us hiked up Mt. Conness. Though, one guy from our party had pretty unpleasant altitude sickness.
Now, I'm thinking we should try Desolation, as I have heard great things but have never been there.
We really like the idea of being in Alpine terraine for at least part of the trip, and being away from other groups. By this time of year, there's a good chance for snow, and I think I could get people on board with snow-shoeing.
Any recommended trips in Desolation of this type?
Thanks,
Simon
