ion stove

I was just wondering if anyone had experience with the ion stove. From the numbers Sgt. Rock has posted at hikinghq it looks very light and efficient. Does anyone know why it wasn’t included in the alcohol stove review?

I have an ion stove… made to the specs on the site.

It works as described under “lab conditions”, When it get the “cruel world” test, its not as impressive.

But, all things considered, its one of the better designs out there.

Hi James, the stoves included in my alcohol stove tests were rounded up a year ago. Sgt Rock’s Ion stove didn’t exist then. I have one now, compliments of Sgt Rock, and will be using it in an upcoming stove + fuel carry weight project. So will have some information on its performance later on.
