I gotta give the Big 5 a 3 because when you go there, at least where I live, the staff or customer service does not know the quality of the goods or cannot answer basic questions.
They have been good about returns, when the right staff person is there. It is not like dealing with an established UL company, where the people seem to accept that I am very demandng of quality. So it goes, when the staff are probably not using the gear that they are selling.
IMO only, too much of their stuff seems to wear badly. We go there often to get sale items, but we have to be carefull. It really depends on the person who you deal with, not the company or its overall quality.
