Williamson PCT Yo-Yo 2006

Scott Williamson is ~200 miles away from completing his 2006 PCT Yo-Yo hike.

Pretty darn amazing to begin with, but even the more so considering this is his second time doing it.

I received a postcard from him in Kennedy Meadows 11.6.06 and his girlfriend Michelle just e-mailed me with his progress. ~500 miles in ~2 weeks. Uh…Wow.

Anyway I thought folks might be interested as to his progress.

The thing I find most amazing about a PCT yo-yo is that on the return trip you will be so alone. The last 1300 miles of this hike will be almost a totally solo affair. I’ve heard Scott say that he may see only a handful of hikers in the entire last 1300 miles. That’s a mighty long time to be by yourself.
