Far and away my absolute favorite light shoe for what the Brit’s call “fell running” but what I might call “tundra” trekking. It’s great in soft ground (tundra, mud) but abysmal on trails and slickrock. Save this shoe for high alpine traverses of the Wind Rivers, Tetons, or Beartooths, sans talus! Very durable uppers, with a two layer mesh. The only gripe is that there is no shoe that is perfect for both cross country travel and trail travel. This comes close for the former.
