There is a new camera coming out from Kodak.
A water proof, 12 megapixel, 6 ounce camera that uses AA batteries and costs 80 bucks.
It is availiable for pre-order and should be out March 18 2011.
The biggest feature is the easy share capability. The camera can upload photos and automatically share them to Facebook, blog sites, email contacts, whatever when plugged in to a PC.
I am trying to see if i can get one to review for my upcomming AT hike.
This camera has no optical zoom.
The no-nonsense point and shoot combined with water proofness and the ability to consume(uh.. use) AA batteries, cheap price, and SDHC card memory seem like awesome attributes for hikers.
Anyhow, wish me luck, i am gonna try and sweet talk Kodak out of one to use for my thru hike. It would be awesome if i could review this for BPL. Fingers crossed.
