http://bpmaniacs.com/phpbb2/Mar 16, 2005 at 4:59 pm #1336186Northwest Delights Olympia Trail Mix (which has peanuts, raisins, almonds, and M&M style candy) comes in an 11 oz. bag (1/4 c. being a serving, so roughly 10 servings in bag total) lists their mix as having 140 calories per serving. Any help for your question?
Mar 16, 2005 at 5:35 pm #1336189I’m a LAMO… I buy bulk and never thought to actually read the label on the Bulk Bin… Duh;)
Hit the trail mix(mostly nuts/seeds)1/4 cup 150cal
mountain trail(one I posted)1/2 cup 190cal
Now I just need to figure my calorie count per day? Thanks
Ken

http://bpmaniacs.com/phpbb2/Mar 16, 2005 at 6:57 pm #1336191I also make my own trail mix and it has a ton of calories and taste. Here is the mix:
1 part peanuts, raisins
0.5 part craisins, m&ms, chocolate chips, almonds
If my memory serves me, a pound of it (3 cups maybe) has at least 2800 calories. It isn’t the best in the heat w/ all the chocolate, but the morning after it has melted it becomes nugget clusters.Mar 17, 2005 at 9:10 am #1336200There are lots of interesting trail mix combinations in “The Great Gorp Contest” which is still available at: http://www.backpacker.com/article/0,2646,2046,00.html.
Mar 17, 2005 at 10:40 am #1336203I tried a product called Craisins on one of my longer hikes. They are cranberries sweetened with orange juice (I believe, memory fails me), and dried like raisins. Very sweet and tangy. I used them with yogurt glazed raisins, M&M’s (peanut), banana chips, and yogurt glazed pretzels. My son and I really liked it!

Once you get the hang of it, it really does a great job.
