Needed something for carrying large amounts of water in the desert. I’ve had 2 Platypus bladders puncture and leak after heavy use. The DromLite comes through by being practically indestructible while still weighing only 3.6 oz for the 4-liter size.
My DromLite’s seen heavy use for 3 years and it’s still in like knew condition. Makes a great pillow with water or just air.
One annoyance. It’s next to impossible to just dip this in a stream and fill because there’s no way to hold the container and prop it open. It looks like MSR has possibly fixed this as the new Dromlite bags now have a low-profile handle. Comes with a weight penalty, however. 4L now weighs 5.1 oz.
