Quick Question!!!
Do you use the Painter’s Dropcloth as a ground cloth or do you roll up in it like a burrito?
I hike with a friend in Texas and a dropcloth is all he takes as shelter. Just rolls up in it and tucks the bottom under his feet and he is protected even in heavy rain.
“50 degree nights–no rain–no stove”
[Dale from Seattle jumps up and raises his hand]”Please, Ma’am, what does ‘no rain’ mean?”
I just use it as a groundcloth but I have used it for shelter. One time I tied it to branches and just slept in the dirt to keep the rain off. I have also used it burrito style–when I do that I sleep on one side of it and have rocks ready to hold it down when I fold it over my bag.
If it was going to rain I would take my sil poncho :)
That question came from someone who asked his mother “Mom, why is the sky gray?”, and tried to start a store selling sunglasses but couldn’t sell a one.
