I met a guy in the library the other day who was using a wallet from http://www.all-ett.com. I let him admire my Simblissity model, while I looked over his. The All-Ett makes spinnaker wallets in a couple sizes and styles [traditional, junior, traveler, card case, and checkbook cover!]. I think the All-Ett card layout is a bit better, and it doesn’t add on the velcro or loops that I don’t really need for town use. If ladies can have multiple purses, I can have multiple wallets, right?

Feb 10, 2006 at 8:31 am #1350308I’ve been searching for a thin bi-fold wallet, and it looks like that one fits what I want perfectly. Thanks for the tip.
Feb 10, 2006 at 9:10 am #1350311Not UL, definitely not cost effective, but as a gift from my wife for “going out”, I use this every day (after 3 years it looks brand new). It easily holds 8 cards and 10 bills. No coin purse…but I don’t carry coins for long. I just cannot imagine carrying 30 credit cards…and while the UL wallets look thinner, they are twice the width? Who wants that in their pocket. This goes in my front or back pocket just as easy.

Feb 10, 2006 at 9:11 am #1350312There has to be an easier way to do those URL links!!!! Argggh.
Feb 10, 2006 at 9:24 am #1350314Scott, remove the two exclamation points after the “less than” signs (your <! should just be <)
You can also select any text (hyper-text or plain-text, or a combo) and with some browser’s view the HTML source for the selected text. This will show you how that hyper-link is implemented. You can also view the entire webpage as HTML text. Just use the Browser’s View ==> Source (or Page Source) pull-down menu choice.
Feb 10, 2006 at 1:13 pm #1350340My UL wallet is a rubber band that goes around my driver’s license, VISA card, health insurance card, and some cash. That goes in a zippered pants pocket.
When I travel, that goes in a stash wallet under my shirt and my usual wallet has $20 in the local currency, and several worthless plastic cards like my library card, grocery discount card, etc. A thief taking a quick look will think he has my credit cards and cash with no battle from me.
Feb 11, 2006 at 5:05 pm #1350385“worthless plastic cards like my library card”
It’s no wonder Librarians are now 2nd only to dentists as the most depressed profession.
Feb 12, 2006 at 11:22 pm #1350476I knew I would catch it for that. There was little chance of a thief in Napoli doing any damage to my identity if he ran off with my Seattle library card, or my Costco card. Losing my Amex, Visa card, driver’s license, or passport would be a lot less fun.
FYI, we voted in a near $200,000,000 bond levy in 1998 and have been rebuilding all our libraries. The Central library is a mind blower (see http://www.spl.org/lfa/central/ConstructionCamera/album/novdec2003_exterior.html)There is nothing *cheap* about what is behind my library card!
