I love my first generation Marmot ATV pants which are made out of dryskin. I would love to find a pair of bibs which are very simular but am coming up empty. Any suggestions?
Why you ask? Historically I have be using a parka length jacket that has a crotch strap which works well with standard raise pants. But the jacket is one it’s last legs, and no one seems to make a jacket like this anymore. Most light shells are waist length which doesn’t work so well for me. I have found that a simple drawstring isn’t enough to keep the jacket from riding up exposing the lower portion of my back when I take a good spill… and then I have a snowy base layer which sucks.
Alternatively, suggestions of a light, water resistant shell which is parka length (ideally with a removable crotch strap) would be appreciated.

Cloudveil makes their Black Ice Bibs in Dryskin.
Also, not Dryskin, but if you can use something warmer in Powershield, you might try these.

I came across these from Wild Things:

Wild Things also has some new eVent bibs.I haven’t seen any Cloudveil IceFall bibs (dryskin extreme) for sale online for a while.
cheers
tomFeb 5, 2006 at 2:04 pm #1349954Those Wild Things bibs are on my list. I hope early this spring I can afford a pair. I did buy their e-vent Alpinist shell a while back and it is the best quality available. I’m a tall guy and that shell fits perfectly. They also did some not so minor customization on this piece and others for me and they will do it for you too (assuming they aren’t swamped with military contract work). Made in the USA and a great company to deal with. The owner’s name is Marie, ask for her if possible.
