Me and my son had a great time car camping and backpacking to the Punta Gorda lighthouse and camping at the Log Castles eating Mac N cheese and samores… For me life does not get better!!!!
Nice jay.

Hey Cary, I tried from the beach with soft shell sand crabs and the river with some lures-NO LUCK.. It was just to windy!!! But my son caught a Alligator lizard- he was very happy!

What a great trip for you and your son. The Punta Gorda Lighthouse is a good distance for a relaxed trip.
I'm leading a trip from Mattole to Shelter Cove, the first week in June. I hope we have weather as nice as you got.
