Goals:
Storm proof shelter, ability to safely cook inside, warm/comfy pad, large enough pack for gear. Use existing quilts and insulation for sleeping. Total weight less than 25 lbs.

Winter storm proof shelter:
Hilleberg Kaitum 2 GT (7lb 14.9oz)
Winter stove (R. Caffin Standard):
Primus EtaPower EF Trail (1lb 10.7oz)
Winter sleeping pad:
Exped DownMat 9 (2lb 6.9oz)
Pack:
GoLite Pinnacle (1lb 14.9oz)
THE OLD
Sleeping insulation (3lb):
JRB No Sniveller quilt (20.9oz)
MLD 2Thirds XP quilt (9.6oz)
BMW Cocoon UL 60 Hoody/Pant (17.8oz)
About 15.8 lb for shelter, pad, stove, pack, and sleeping.

Where do you plan to backpack?
What are the lowest temps/wind chills you can expect there?
Have you tested cooking in your tent? (ventilation, etc.)

Although you haven't posted your entire gear list and weights, I would be interested in how you think the Pinnacle does with load transfer in this case.

This winter I'm in training mode and have been in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Next winter I plan to take a trip or two to CA. Maybe CO.
temps/chills:
lowest temp 5F(-15C) but mostly mid-20 F (-4C)
cooking in your tent:
love it and still alive (thanks to our Mr. Caffin's articles)

Works well for me. Go far so good.
