Video – next big thing

I've been researching camcorders and although mind-numbing for a novice I have learned a lot. Such as, there are a LOT of variables !

Except for the price I like the Sony HDR-TG1 (I think that's right) which is really small and light compared to most others.

Seeing as I am poor as can be and may not be able to upgrade to something flash for maybe a year, are there rumours of wonder camcorders to be released in the near future?

Not that manufacturers cater that much to smaller and lighter.

Higher capacity HDDs would be good.
