I picked up two of these quilts at my local Costco back when this post first came up and I haven’t seen any at the various DFW area Costcos since then – they went quick. We were out and about yesterday so we stopped in the Costco in Plano (the one off of Hwy 75) to pick up something and as I walking though the store I ran into a whole display of them. I counted over a hundred of them in all different colors. I asked one of the Costco employees if they had anymore other than these and she thought that they might have additional ones in the back.
So, if you need more of these great buys (still only $19.99) then I would hurry over to that Costco before they are all gone.
Jan 24, 2016 at 7:04 am #3377621I could use 3 more of these bad boys for a double sleeping bag project and a quilt mod. Are these still out there? If so, is anyone willing to help a guy out who is stuck in Sam’s Club territory?
Jan 24, 2016 at 1:19 pm #3377678I was also looking for more of these last weekend (I was lucky enough to get 2 of them a few months ago). The costco in Lynnwood (WA) was out of them, said they sold out around Christmas time. Otherwise I would have been glad to help you out.
Jan 24, 2016 at 7:20 pm #3377761Next time I’m in the local Costco I will see what they have. I will pick up some for anyone that needs them and post it up on here.
Jan 25, 2016 at 12:17 pm #3377924That’s worth buying for the down alone.
Aaron, care to crack one baffle open and snap a picture of the down quality? Any estimates on how much down is in it? (I KNOW you’re a 10D fabric specialist ;)
Jan 26, 2016 at 2:32 am #3378062It looks like 700 fill but with 30% feathers. I’ve seen 600 fill and its better than that.
Jan 26, 2016 at 6:37 am #3378067Thanks for keeping your eyes peeled, folks. If you find any let me know!
Jan 26, 2016 at 7:01 am #3378070I can ask my g/f’s mom to check the two Costco’s near her in southern FL, when we were there during xmas they had a ton for $15/ea.
Jan 26, 2016 at 8:23 am #3378076I would be interested in a few, like maybe 3 or 4.
Feb 3, 2016 at 7:06 pm #3379998I would also be interested in a couple if anyone is willing to help out.
Feb 3, 2016 at 7:18 pm #3379999I would take 50 of them if someone can get them for 15 and get them to me for under 20 each.
Feb 3, 2016 at 11:52 pm #3380066I’m interested in 1 or 2. They never had them at the Issaquah store (right next to the Corp headquarters)
Feb 11, 2016 at 10:40 am #3381447I saw a request for a pic a couple weeks ago. Here’s some down I extracted to use for over stuffing a top quilt I made from s Costco throw. It lofts nicely, and will work well as a 2 1/2 season top quilt. From the leftover parts I made a smaller throw, a down balaclava and some stuff sacks. My sewing skills have room for improvement, but I got it done.
Feb 15, 2016 at 11:38 am #3382204I could use 2 if someone gets their hands on some.
Thanks
Mar 29, 2016 at 6:40 am #3392539I have a small stockpile of these now. Please email me at jmcalister AT gmail DOT com if you are interested. $25 a piece, plus actual shipping. It has been $6-7 to ship one, and only seems to be a dollar or so more for each one you add…so multiples bring the cost down!
Apr 4, 2016 at 7:38 am #3393826I only have a few silver left, but there is still plenty of blue, purple, and copper/brown. Please email me at jmcalister AT gmail DOT com if you are interested!
Apr 4, 2016 at 11:32 am #3393880I got two from Joshua.
They are very nice and he is great to deal with
Apr 5, 2016 at 5:59 am #3393990Thanks, Stephen.
Silver is all gone, but I still have several of each of the other colors left.
Apr 6, 2016 at 6:45 am #3394228Running low on blue, too.
Email me at jmcalister AT gmail DOT com if you need quilts.
Apr 9, 2016 at 8:18 am #3394995Has anyone used these yet to stretch the temp rating of another bag? We will be on a trip that will get to ~20, and I’m looking to still use our 20 degree MH Lamina bags (which I’ve been pretty chilly in base layers around 30). I’m hoping that wearing a down jacket and something for our lower half (perhaps these Costco quilts as a foot bag or draped over the entire bag) would get us a some additional comfort. Thanks!
Apr 11, 2016 at 1:00 pm #3395423I have a 40×60 section (10 oz weight) of a Costco throw and used it inside a down quilt. I was at the low end for the quilt and my comfort level went from marginal to cozy. I think it improved my sleep system by about 10 degrees.
Apr 18, 2016 at 1:50 pm #3396661I cannot edit my older posts; I no longer have any quilts.
May 4, 2016 at 2:15 pm #3399870Used these a couple of times on long haul flights and at hone, they worked well.
Aug 6, 2016 at 3:50 pm #3418668They are back in stock in the Memphis Costco. Still $20.
Aug 10, 2016 at 7:46 am #3419348Nice, I need more but I am not close to a Costco.
