the membrane dermizax is supposed to work in such a way that dirt doesn't affect it.

there are no ul jackets made of it though and there is not that much info about it on the net.

erin and hig used a dermizax drysuit on their journey on the wild coast and made it all the way:

    bergans uses it for example.

the new dermizax nx just got realised and the usual marketing spins claims it is super breathable.

I remember this I thought that was Entrant or at least the person who made them thought they were when I talked to her.

I knew I should have kept my drover.

I’m pretty sure Buffalo is older than Paramo

I have both the Velez Adventure Smock and Evolution Smock for out in the outdoors, and I also got the Halkon jacket for general dog walking and being outside in the cold and wet. All have performed flawlessly.

In terms of the outdoors, the smocks aren’t suitable for a warm summers day obviously (I have a very lightweight shell for the odd rain shower if I’m out on those days) but they’re few and far between in Scotland lol, and the Paramo is much more suited to our weather.

Their biggest advantage is how soft and comfortable they are, so on an average spring or autumn day I can just wear that as my main top, with just a lightweight tshirt or base layer underneath. It just feels like any other comfortable mid layer I might wear. It’s breathable and ventilated enough that it’s perfect for all day wear, and if the rain happens to come on, then I’m already wearing my waterproof.

Then as the winter gets colder I can layer up underneath as appropriate.  They also do a nice synthetic gilet that can be pulled on over the top of their jackets, even in the wet, to give you a little boost of warmth if you’re just having a 5 minute water break and don’t want to mess with all of your layers and taking everything off etc.
