I am considering the following cooking gear and would love some feedback. Trangia UL-27 Hard Anodized (HA) outer cooking pot and its frying pan (5.6 oz total): http://www.libertymountain.com/products/5164/NTN06597/trangia-ultralight-hard-anodized or Trangia UL-27 Non-stick outer cooking pot and its frying pan (5.6 oz total): http://www.libertymountain.com/products/5164/NTN12669/trangia-non-stick For a pot grabber/lifter, I am considering: Optimus Terra Pot Lifter (1.9 oz.) http://www.campmor.com/Product___82437 This handle is heavy plastic. I want a handle that won’t scratch up the cooking equipment. (I don’t know if the Trangia mini pot lifter would work with the 27 series fry pan. If anyone knows of an alternative handle that won’t scratch, please let me know. Set up intended for steam baking, frying, and boiling. I want to cook food in the cook pot and use a pot cozy. I’m leaning toward non-stick because it should be easier to clean. I appreciate any help! Sincerely, Michael
One vote for the HA pot. Have yet to have anything stick to it. No experience with the non-stick version. Its only 2.8 oz and very durable. I made a silicon pot lid out for it out of a high-temp food safe silicone baking sheet. The lid also doubles as a pot grabber and weighs .5 oz. So 3.3 oz for a durable 1 liter pot with lid and method to pick it up. Not too bad I figure, and cheap too. I guess you will have the fry pan though as a lid.
