Hey y'all
Looking for tips
here's my new list:
http://lighterpack.com/r/4wanl6
Only thing that can't change is the knife.
Everything else is flexible if given a better alternative.
My goal is 7 lbs
With: I'm team camping, but like to be independent with my gear. I'm using a 2-person tent because I'm rarely alone, but I'll try to pawn off my stove if I'm gonna share the room
Where: I typically am backpacking Yosemite/King's canyon area, but I like to be ready for anything
Weather: 3-season
Length: 3-5 Days
Best places to cut weight that I can see without knowing where you operate and when, is in your shelter and sleeping pad.
You have a kit just about anyone would love to have. Not much use in changing it. Diminishing returns as they say.
But for some real advice look into lighter one man tent set ups and lighter inflatable or foam pads. My cuben MLD cricket tarp weighs 8.5 oz with all the guy lines. Pair that with a S2S pyramid mosquito net at 3.2 oz and a polycro groundsheet at 1.5, and you've saved significant weight. At a high cost though, unless you sold the Yama.
Also, a Neo Air small weighs ~8 oz. Those two changes saved you significant weight, at a very high cost though.
So I say, Just get out and USE it. :)
Edited my post for some missing info
Changed up my list some. Welcome any advice
