Anyone know of a good source for bulk trail mix ingredients that are sulfite free?

My anaphylaxis inducing reaction them to demands I need it. Boo.

    Thanks!

If you have ANY risk at all…you need to build it yourself. And honestly? It'll taste better, be cheaper and a whole lot easier.

Having said that…..there are times I buy http://enjoylifefoods.com/our-food/seed-fruit-mixes/seed-fruit-mixes-mountain-mambo/ because it is safe.

    Those do look yummy!

Anyone ever order anything from nuts.com? They have a decent selection of unsulphured fruit. Google reviews seem positive, but I'd rather hear first-hand experience if available.

I get all my dried fruits on Amazon :-) I buy sulfite free as well.

I ordered from them last year for my JMT hike — they were fine.

So I tried those Enjoy Life trail mixes, and just in case anyone else has a similar question as me and stumbles across this thread, they are quite good! Better than I though they'd be, to be honest. I could eat quite a bit of it, and it appears to be around 146 calories per ounce, too (half of which is from fats).

Looks like amazon has 36 ounces of it for ~$17. That's around ~$7 a pound, which, in all honesty, isn't all that horrible of a price. I doubt I'd make any trail mix that'd go much under 5 bucks a pound.

I am happy you liked it!! I like the lighter texture – where nuts can be so heavy, seeds are not :-)
