I quickly went through your blog. Ill get to it later. I'm going to forward your blog to a 15 year old i know who wants to do the hike.
I'm not seeing a ton of hikers in your pics. Thats nice.
Same as John. Liked the bit I've read so far and will read more of it later.
Sorry to hear you've been hit with a stomach bug already.
Thanks for the heads up on your blog. I hiked it in 1983 and have read a number of current blogs/diaries for the PCT, CDT, and AT and it seems like a much different experience now – a more group or collective atmosphere. I thru'd half of the CDT in a sobo attempt in 1984 and barely saw anyone else. I haven't been on the AT but the PCT especially, sounds like a more social event now, much like I have heard the AT is like and has been for many years.
Good luck and stay safe. I hope to get back out for multi month trips in retirement which is closer everyday!
Excellent stuff, by the time I got to the McDonald's photo I had a good laugh thinking how good the a/c would have felt.
love the blog and pictures.
Not critizing Kadings, but noticed the web page describing Kennedy Meadows as being in TULANE COUNTY.
Actually, it is TULARE. I don't think it is that important, but since I live around those parts, thought it worth the correction to those who don't.
but of course, if its on the internet, then …
I actually saw this blog a little while back and forgot about it. Glad I saw it again. I'll definitely keep following.
