From that "fabric condom" thread I discovered that it takes me 30-40 seconds to pack my sleeping bag.
Not sure about the mat but I just open the valve when still on it (so that I HAVE to get up) then usually after having stuffed the SB inside its sack I will fold the mat in half and roll*, close the valve and repeat. (don't need to do the second bit with the Neo Air)
My guess is :about a minute for that.
The longest time for a single item would have to be my tent, oddly I am very good at doing it so not so sure why others have not mentioned that.
Cammon confess, it takes you more than a minute** to do !I am about to start a simple tent packing system via vacuum pump, it will be on kickstarter soon.
*I roll the mat, not myself. Easy mistake to make.

Okay, okay, it takes more than a minute. :^)
Analyzing the entire process, it takes about 30 minutes or more because normally after un-staking the guylines I drape the tent over a non-thorny(!) bush to dry out a bit… seems the bottom of the floor is almost always moist.
If it's really wet from rain and the humidity is high, there is no point draping it over a bush so it gets shaken out and stuffed. In general, crummy weather inspires haste. In the winter, no stuff sack for the tent, in which case it takes about 10 seconds to stuff into the pack.
I deflate/roll the air mat pretty much exactly the way you described.
The quilt also gets aired out, but when it's time to actually put it in the pack it takes about 10 seconds… stuffed into the bottom with no stuff sack.
But I'm budgeting $1000 for that vacuum pump kickstarter project — should be a hot seller at REI. Perfect mate for those battery-powered air mat inflators.
May 3, 2015 at 6:41 am #2196422Don't forget your pump rebuild kit complete with titanium tool box that includes most of the tools you need. Of course you'll need the repair manual, which thankfully they've shrunk down and put on cd. To save more weight I would also opt for the 10 set of cuben stuff bags.
In all seriousness. Too many pockets, which I've eliminated, and too tall a collar on the pack. -
