The first thing that will likely stand out in all my gear is that I have a few very high priced items that, under most circumstances, wouldn't be worth it. I have access to prodeals from most vendors however, and when the megaprodeals come around, get gear at a ridiculous price. I feel obliged to buy from those sources because of the great prices though, and my weight clearly suffers from it. I'm open to gear suggestions from cottage industry vendors, and there are a few options I'm really looking into at the moment.
I hike with a friend who carries half of the tent, and it's suitable for us. I haven't weighed the individual parts of the tent yet so I'm not sure exactly how much I actually end up carrying most of the time. That being said, I'd like to try more solo hiking, and I've been debating between a flat tarp (For the versatility. I'd like to start hanging now that I got my ENO Sub7) and some sort of mid. I'd be willing to spring for cuben either way.
I live in Southern California, and it doesn't rain much even when it does. Could I switch out the Beta for a tachyon in light rain?
I'd also like to switch the Atom for one of the Montbell UL jackets. The warmth should be similar, right? Any other alternatives, especially from big box companies (prodeals!) that weigh less and provide similar warmth.
I'm experimenting with the bladders in making a gravity filter, but I may just switch back to smartwater bottles with the mini for the weight savings.
Should I swap the prolite out for something else? An Xlite? A nightlight torso pad?
Here's what I'm using now (Aside from a caveat. The MLD Burn and quilt should be shipped out soon)

Really, I'm just looking for any way to get my pack lighter, and I know some of you guys will probably have some great advice!
