Hi all,
I'm going to be in Salt Lake for a week and am trying to put together an overnighter afterward. I really want to make a trip to the High Uintas, but I do not want to risk being caught in a sudden storm. My question is, what can I expect in the High Uintas, e.g. the Henry's Fork Basin, this time of year? Is the trail going to be hike-able without snowshoes/skis?
From what I've read it appears a late fall hiking trip into the Uintas is impossible without significant snow travel. If so, can anyone recommend a good overnighter in the Wasatch/Cottonwoods area?
thanks!
