So my son's down sleeping bag does not have a hanging loop, so I was wondering can I just sew one on there? I was wondering will I have to worry about losing down through stitching in the loop?
You can also slide the zipper up a little from the foot box and put the stuff sack in the opening with the cord sticking out of the bag, then rezip the zipper. The stuff sack cord then acts like a hanging loop and also keeps the sack with the bag. This has worked well for me for years. Not likely to help if you use quilts, though.
