Isaac is a Wilderness First Responder with over 20 years of writing experience who is passionate about introducing as many people as possible to the challenges and rewards of backcountry exploration. A native of Southern California, he is equally at home on day hikes to local peaks as on multi-week misadventures to the High Sierra. An avid trail runner, fly fisher and archer, Isaac's heart lies with the joyous miles that only thru hiking can offer. His work has appeared in Storgy Magazine, Viewfinder Magazine, and Centipede Press, among others. He will be returning to hike the John Muir Trail this summer.
