Overview
If you’re looking for serious hand protection for bushwhacking or scrambling, or just a good durable liner-weight glove, take a look at the Atlas Extreme Multi-Sport gloves. Several models are available for different applications. We especially liked the ThermoLite lined gloves (model EXT900) with a durable rubber coating on the palm side, and the Nitrile coated liner-weight gloves with breathable back (model R370BK). Other thin, durable, breathable models are under development.
The Atlas Nitrile-coated liner-weight gloves have great dexterity and are very durable. They weigh only 1.8 ounces per pair and cost only $6.95.
I’m looking forward to trying these gloves for bushwhacking in the southern Utah canyon this winter and spring. If they can handle the Utah brush and sandstone for at least one season, they will make a believer out of me.
They’re also an excellent value, $6.95 a pair for the Nitrile-coated liner-weight gloves. That’s the same cost as a pair of conventional liners.
