Only one material is needed to make the BPS 1.0. Steel wire (14-gauge is ideal) is the cornerstone to the entire project. Bending the wire into shape requires an eight- or ten-penny nail and a bench vise. The actual bending of the wire is easily done by hand. Other tools help with final fit and finish - a small craft hammer, wire cutters, a marker and a small metal file. A DIY wire bending jig helps with bending pot stand segments at proper length and angles, but isn't necessary as you'll see.
